Perfect Perfumes For Summer

Sarah Jessica Parker's latest perfume, SJP NYC, is a sweet and fruity fragrance. Strawberries are the dominant scent. But other top notes are mandarin and white osmanthus. Gardenia, honeysuckle, mimosa and red Damascene rose are also included. And its base contains vanilla absolute, sandalwood, rum and creamy musk. The ingredients would suggest it to be full-on but this fragrance is very subtle. Only downside is it just doesn't last on skin long enough. RRP £14.00 for the 15 ml and £23.00 for the 30 ml.

Michael Kors The Island is a beachy fragrance. Chinese Kiwi and oxygenated water are top notes, giving a fresh yet juicy scent. Parrot tulip, ginger lilies and Bulgarian rose make a floral middle. And white bark and Galapagos driftwood base notes give it a woody depth. If you're looking for a touch of exotic island life then this is for you. It's woody depth makes it a strong scent but it isn't overpowering and stays on skin. RRP £42.00/ €64.00 for the 50 ml and £59.00/ €90.00 for the 100 ml.

Miss Dior Chérie is a fabulous floral scent new out this year. Blood orange essence and neroli give it tangy aroma. Then Turkish rose, gardenia, jasmine, and ylang-ylang make up the middle notes and patchouli. This is a lovely fragrance. It manages to balance being strong with summer light. And it lasts on skin for hours and hours. RRP £48.00 for the 50 ml and £68.00 for 100 ml.

For light yet zesty fragrance check out Versace's latest perfume, Versus. Top notes are lemon, kumquat and star apple. Its heart is composed of orange blossom, stephanotis and Centifolia rose, while its base is musk, patchouli and ambrette seed. Overall a fresh and fruity fragrance, a lovely summer smell, but could do with lasting longer on skin. RRP £30.00 for 30 ml bottle.

Kate Moss is also adding to her fragrance list this summer with Wild Meadow. Top notes start with pink grapefruit and bergamot paired with vineyard peach. Its heart is floral, reminiscent of a summer meadow. And rose, magnolia, honeysuckle, apple wood, benzoin and amber make up the base. It's a fresh fragrance, think green fields and outdoors summer living. A surprisinging nice perfume and smell last around 2 hours. RRP £14.95 for the 30 ml.
